There are so many titles that ranking them can prove to be a major challenge. The fandom for this series is massive, and it should go without saying that everyone has their own opinions when it comes to the worst and best Assassin's Creed games. It's the boundless freedom provided by this series that makes it such a blast to play through, even if some people feel like the franchise has become stale with a core gameplay loop that didn't even change until Assassin's Creed Origins. Honestly, though, Ubisoft hasn’t necessarily made a “bad” Assassin’s Creed game. That’s understandable since a long-running series such as this needs to constantly evolve to stay relevant. Starting in 2007, the Assassin’s Creedfranchise has had its ups and downs, with Ubisoft being criticized for annualizing the games and not taking their time.
